Perfecting Your Hooks: How to Craft Facebook Ads that Work
Sponsored by Pixellu

A hook is really the reason why. It's the compelling reason that encourages a prospect or customer to take the action you’re requesting. It doesn't matter what the purpose of your Facebook ad is. Maybe you're trying to generate leads, or you're asking people to book you , or you want them to visit your site, or watch your Facebook Live. There are lots of different calls to action that we can make in our Facebook ads, but the reason that people take action is the why. In my presentation, we're going to talk about marketing hooks, and I’ll share many different marketing hooks that you can use in your ads.

The Art of Delegation: How to Trust and Let Go
Have you ever thought, "If you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself!"?

Do you struggle with asking for help in your business? Are you afraid of letting go? Have you been burned before and find it hard to trust again?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, then this session is for you, my friend!

In order to scale your business, you'll eventually need to hire help. Whether you work with contractors or hire employees, you'll have to get comfortable letting go and sharing the workload with them. But this can be scary!

Over the years, I've found that delegating doesn't come naturally to most of us small business owners. Entrusting someone else with the business you've lovingly and painstakingly nurtured and grown can leave you feeling vulnerable. And that's why I'm here to help you!

In this session, we'll:
Explore the reasons why you're struggling to let go and get the help you desperately need
Uncover the lies (yes, lies!) we tell ourselves about why we can't let go
Discover the truth about why you can't afford not to delegate if you've got big dreams
Discuss practical strategies for how to build trust with your team and learn to let go
During this interactive session, you'll be doing the exploration and mindset work in class as well as formulating a plan of action to take home with you that you can implement right away. Come spend the hour with me and I'll teach you the fine art of delegating, so you can stop spending your day stuck in the weeks and focus on the money-making activities that will drive your business success to the next level!!

The Happy Family
Sponsored by Millers Imaging

We all know the photo exactly what families in front of our cameras want: everyone smiling, looking at the camera, Christmas-card-perfect, HAPPY.
But on picture day the baby has reflux and barfed all over his brand new outfit, the four-year-old refuses to wear the shoes you picked out for her, Dad would much rather crack open a cold one and watch the game, and Mom has barely had time to take a shower let alone do her make-up. The whole thing feels anything BUT happy and when everyone arrives for photos, it shows.
As the photographer, it is your job to give the client what they want...even when the toddler refuses to acknowledge the camera. I am here to help! Creating happy photos starts long before the session begins and in this class I am going to share all of my secrets for delivering family photos that scream JOY!

Empowering Women Empower Women
Over 90 percent of women don’t consider themselves to be truly beautiful. How we can change this misconception as photographers by empowering women to see that beauty is beyond our skin. We live in a society where women are taught to compete. But why? What if we came together to build a tribe of like-minded women who heavily believed in community over competition? We all have a specific calling and usually if we’re following the right one? … we’re super passionate about it. I have loved providing my clients with an entire same day experience of celebrating them... same day session, same day proofing, and digital and printed image delivery. How I do it and why!

Attendees of this presentation will learn:
1. How I turn my sessions around that same day AND give my clients same day prints along with digital files.
2. How we all experience life transformations that radically change us. How to use them in our business and branding.
3. How the boudoir session is about SO much more than the body. How to document a woman’s soul through her journey and life transformations.

Light, Movement, and Emotion: That Something Extra
Sponsored by Millers Imaging

I will share how I use light, movement, and emotion to create images that clients HAVE to have. Anyone can take a pretty picture so we must think about what "extra" we can do to break away from the pack. In a sea of talented photographers what will make someone stop at your website or your Instagram page and say, "That's the photographer I have to have"? I will share how I use dramatic light to create mood, how I can great a gallery that features backlight, rim light, direct light, shadows, silhouettes, and flat light. Next I will discuss movement and how it plays into mood. Infusing movement into your images creates images that feel comfortable and relatable to the viewer and also gives authenticity to your poses. Finally, how I direct and elicit emotion out of my clients to create images that are powerful, fun, romantic, and timeless.

But being a female photographer can also be incredibly disheartening. It is difficult to not play the comparison game, to not feel like you are “less than” the competition, and to not feel alone and isolated as you sit behind your camera and your computer screen.

MythBusters - Trademark Edition: I promise you don't understand trademarks, let me teach you
There's a lot that goes into starting and running a business. Especially on the legal side of things. One of the most misunderstood areas of law is trademarks ... and these misunderstandings can lead to devastating consequences for your business. Without strong trademark protections, you risk losing your brand or your entire business. Joey will start by discussing similar but very different terms: trademarks, copyrights, domain names, and business name registrations. You'll learn how just owning a trademark is different from actually having strong trademark rights. You'll understand the importance of filing for trademark protections so that you have exclusive, nationwide rights to your trademark — and you'll learn the benefits and limitations of these protections.

Newborn Wrapping
We have all seen the perfectly wrapped newborn by those photographers that we admire and look up
to. We sit and look at the image, think to ourselves, “that looks easy enough, I can do that” and plan to
execute the perfectly wrapped newborn in our next session. The session arrives, we pep talk ourselves
quietly in our minds and begin to wrap the baby and ‘WHAM’ chaos ensues! The wrap starts out
perfectly and then the little Houdini begins his great escape and before you know it, it all falls apart. It
happens to all of us. Sometimes there are those little blessings that put a kink in our plans and make us question our wrapping abilities. Stop, breathe, relax and regroup!
Let’s have some fun and dive into the world of newborn wrapping! It doesn’t have to be as
complicated as you think. Simple wraps make the most beautiful images and those are the ones that
can make moms heart melt. Bring a doll and a couple wraps to class and let’s make some rolled up baby burritos!
